The library is open with certain restrictions.
*The library is currently implementing strict infection-spread prevention measures.

• Please minimize the time you spend at the library. (at most 3 hrs or less)
• Opening hours are as usual. *Plese check Inquires.

Requests to those visiting the library

We kindly ask for your cooperation.

• Please do not visit the library if you are feeling unwell.
• Please wear a mask
• Please observe proper coughing manner
• Make sure you practice proper social distancing (>1m, if possible 2m)
• When entering or leaving the library, as well as prior to handling materials or using devices, please wash your hands thoroughly and sanitize your hands and fingers.
• We will have windows open for ventilation. The effectiveness of air conditioning may be weakened.
• We request for using the application COVID-19 Contact-Confirming Application (COCOA) (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) or 埼玉県LINEコロナお知らせシステム(Saitama Prefecture)(Japanese only) .

Also, as a preparatory measure in the event that an infection outbreak occurs at the library, please ensure that you fill in the "Contact information" when visiting the library.

In order to prevent infection from droplets in the air from coughing or sneezing, the library is strongly enforcing infection-spread prevention measures such as the use of protective plastic sheeting, masks, and proper hand-washing and sanitation, etc.

• Reference Services
  Please apply via the website・telephone・FAX・post・or at library.
• Viewing newspapers
  The placement and viewing location for some materials has been moved.
• Internet information terminals, database terminals
  The above devices may be used for a limited time. Currently, the number of devices available for use has been reduced.
• Microfilm readers and printers, audiovisual booths and reading magnifiers.
  The above devices may be used for up to 3hrs per person each day.
• Library seating and desks
  A portion or all of these are currently unavailable for use.
• Snack corner
  To prevent the spread of COVID-19, please eat alone and in silence.

Services (Urawa Bunshitsu (circulation point) Saitama Prefectural Archives 1F)

In order to prevent the spread of infection by New Coronavirus, all visitors are required to undergo a temperature check prior to entering the facility. (Relative to the results of your test, you may be unable to enter the facility, however, someone will assist you outside.)

  Are available for use for a limited time.
• Viewing seats
  A portion of these are currently unavailable for use.

For first-time visitors

Materials are not stored at the Urawa Bunshitsu (circulation point). It is a counter for viewing, borrowing, and returning prefectural library materials. However, even those who are not registered to utilize services can make reservations via telephone, etc.

Events

Saitama Prefectural Library (Kumagaya Library・Kuki Library) is holding events, such as Viewings and Storytelling.
