埼玉県には現在、24万人以上の外国人が暮らしています。
日本語を母語としないクラスメイトがいる、という高校生も少なくありません。
異なる文化を理解し、互いに尊重しながら共に生きていく「多文化共生」を知ることが、今後ますます必要になっていきます。
そして、読書は、母語に関わらず、同じ本を読んで一緒に楽しむことができる大切な手段です。
今回は、高校生におすすめの外国語の本や多文化共生を知る本を展示しています。
もちろん、高校生以外の方にも楽しんでもらえる本ばかりなので是非御来館ください。

おなじ こうこうに いろいろな くにから きたひとが いるかもしれません。
おたがいの ぶんかを しって あいての ひとを たいせつに することが ひつようです。
ことばが ちがっても おなじ ほんを よんで いっしょに たのしむことも できます。
としょかんでは こうこうせいに おすすめの がいこくごの ほんを しょうかい しています。
こうこうせいでは ない ひとも たのしめます。

Now, more than 240,000 people from forein countries live in Saitama. There are not few high school students whose native languages aren't Japanese.
Knowing about "Multicultural Coexistence", which is diverse communities living together in harmony, is significant because understanding and respecting one another is more necessary than ever after.
Reading is an important means to enjoy the same book for everyone regardless of one's native language.
Therefore, this time, Kumagaya Library holds an exhibition of books which are from foreign countries recommended for high school students and about "Multicultural Coexistence".
Furthermore, in the library, there are many enjoyable books for not only high school students but also everyone, so please come by all means.
